Istvan Vamosi

Artist member since 2024
Budapest, Hungary

MINRO (Vámosi István, 1985) I have been involved in photography for more than seven years, initially as a hobby photographer to capture my travel experiences. The positive reception of the pictures and the feedback from my friends inspired me to become a professional photographer. During my studies, I constantly experimented with the possible areas of photography and pushed my limits in the areas of portrait photography, building and nature photography. I knew one thing, since I am not inspired by making ordinary pictures, I was thinking about something unusual even in those years. The confinement of COVID prompted me to create something new by selecting and cataloging my images. While re-editing the images, I found the technique and individual vision with which I have been working ever since and became a digital abstract photographer. What is an empty canvas for a painter, is for me a  photo that forms the basis of an abstract work. The painter's tool is the brush, mine is the digital mouse pad. I always dream up my pictures in composition, but I leave the final vision to the viewer. My first exhibition was in the M11 Gallery in Budapest, in the spring of 2023. My mission is to open up new dimensions of abstract artistic photography
